TO THE INFLUENCE OF THE EMOTIONAL TENSION ON COGNITIVE PROCESSES OF TEENAGERS DEPENDING ON THEIR INITIAL LEVEL OF THE INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

An attempt has been made to study psycho-
physiological changes which take place during the
examination of the influence of stress on healthy and
mentally retarded children at the age 14-16. The analysis
of the data indicate that psycho-physiological changes
were more prominent at healthy children, i.e. a high
level of anxiety index, the increase of flood pressure, the
predominance of sympathic tone and the weakness of
cognitive indexes were registered. In contrast to healthy
children at mentally retarded ones the changers of their
psycho-physiological sphere under their emotional tension
are not noticed.
