ESTIMATION OF THE LANDSCAPE TECHNOGENIC CONTAMINATION BY THE THERMAL POWER PLANTS POLLUTIONS BASED ON RESULTS OF THE SNOW SAMPLES INVESTIGATION
Abstract
The analysis of the intensity revealing possibility of landscapes contamination
from the influence of thermal power plants according to the results of the chemical investigation
of snow samples has been carried out. Two snow samples near the Cherepet thermal power
plant (Tula region) and one background sample at the essential distance from the station were
selected in the framework of Engineering Ecological Surveying. Samples chemical analysis
allowed to determine the basic pollutant agents in the dropped out firm and aerosol particles. It
is shown that the pollution of a snow cover can be considered as the indicator of an ecological
condition of the territory
