Кавказские Минеральные Воды - один из старейших и ведущих рекреационных районов России, где имеются разнообразные рекреационные ресурсы: гидроминеральные, грязевые и др., на базе которых здесь сформировались курорты. В статье показана история формирования и развития бальнеологических курортов исследуемого региона на протяжении XIX в. Анализиру- ются условия и факторы развития курортов, показано, как шел процесс развития рекреационной инфраструктуры и становление рекреационной деятельности, а также при- водятся данные по динамике отдыхающих за рассматри- ваемый период.
The Caucasian Mineral Waters region is one of the oldest and leading Russian health resort areas with a variety of recreational resources: mineral springs, therapeutic mud, etc., where the development of health resorts and their wide use began. The article describes the history of the formation and development of the balneological resorts in the region under study during the XIX century. The conditions and factors affecting the development of health resorts are analyzed. The process of the development of recreational infrastructure and recreational activities is described. Data on the dynamics of the holiday-makers during that period are presented.
