Цель. Выявить пространственную перегруппировку сил в мировом экспертно-аналитическом сообществе в начале ХХI в.1Процедура и методы. Исследование опирается на концептуальный базис общественной географии, теоретический конструкт «мягкой силы». Главный источник фактического материала – данные докладов (Global Go To Think Tank Index Report, TTCSP, 2008–2021). Использованы историко-географический, сравнительно-географический, картографический методы.Результаты. Выявлен пространственный сдвиг в мировой структуре фабрик мысли (ФМ) в пользу глобального Юга. Предложена группировка стран по моделям развития феномена. Раскрыта ротация среди стран-лидеров, инерционность пространственной структуры авангарда ФМ.Теоретическая и/или практическая значимость. Мировая структура ФМ отличается высоким уровнем территориальной дифференциации и концентрации, направленностью в развитии к полицентризму. Материалы исследования могут быть полезны для совершенствования системы независимой экспертизы в России, а также в учебном процессе в вузах.

Aim. To identify the spatial regrouping of forces in the global expert and analytical community at the beginning of the 21st centuryMethodology. The research is based on the conceptual basis of social geography, the theoretical "soft power" construct. The 2008–2021 reports "Global Go To Think Tank Index Report, TTCSP” constitute the main source of factual data. Historical-geographical, comparative-geographical, cartographic methods were used.Results. A spatial shift in the global think tank (TT) structure in favor of the global South has been revealed. Countries classification according to TTs development models is proposed. The rotation among the leading countries and the inertia of the think tanks vanguard spatial structure are revealed.Research implications. The global structure of TT is characterized by a high level of territorial differentiation and concentration, and by a tendency towards polycentrism in development. The research materials can be useful for improving the independent expertise system of in Russia, as well as in the educational process at universities.
